Without a pandemic, the end of January usually brings nominations being submitted from across the FunTeam community for our Randy Gregg Volunteer and Nicky Sereda Outstanding Participant awards. Due to a strained year on our programming we will unfortunately be postponing our awards until 2021.

2020 has been a tough year for everyone. It's been unpredictable and has forced us all to stay in our homes for extended periods of time much longer than we anticipated or wanted. It's prevented kids and their families from getting together with other friends and family members from playing together and enjoying the many benefits of recreation and sport. We appreciate every Group Manager, volunteer, participant, and parent that attempted to bring FunTeam to their community and household this past year dealing with all the restrictions and added protocols that COVID-19 has brought.

Due to the inconsistnecy of scheduled programming for 2020, the FunTeam Alberta Board of Directors has decided it best to postpone our awards until 2021 so that we can recognize the amazing people of our organization without the added stresses that operating a FunTeam group within a pandemic surely brought this past year.

We hope that everyone will be able to get back on the playing field soon to enjoy FunTeam sports with their friends and family and we will continue to provide updates as we are notified by the Government of Alberta.
